Sister Janis Haustein - Accompanist Sister Janis is a School Sister of Notre Dame from the Minnesota province. She completed her Master's Degree in organ at the University of Notre Dame with Craig Cramer, earned a second M.M. from Notre Dame in Liturgical Studies, and has completed advanced studies with Dr. William Crosbie at the Cathedral of St. James in Chicago. Sister Janis has a great interest in ecumenism and has served in Roman Catholic and Episcopal parishes. Presently she is music director at Christ the Mediator Evangelical Lutheran Church in Chicago. A life-long educator, Sister Janis has served the American Guild of Organists in many capacities through the years including Chair of the Young Organists' Committee and Chair of the Publicity Committee for the 1991 AGO Regional Convention held in Chicago. |
