Rev. Eugene Winkowski - Founder
A native Chicagoan, Fr. Gene was ordained a priest in 1971 for the Archdiocese of Chicago. Fr. Gene has fond memories of his participation as a member of several choirs as a boy and young adult. He formed and directed a boy choir at Five Holy Martyrs Parish while associate pastor there. After much research and deliberation, he organized the Chicago Boy Choir in 1997 as a way to restore an ancient tradition of the church and to introduce young men to the majesty of quality music. It is his hope that in the future some of them will continue on in music and become tomorrow's composers, instrumentalists and singers within the Church and the community at large. e-mail: ewinkowski@aol.com |
